About Our Club

Our club is open to all youth, regardless of where you live! We welcome families from neighboring counties to join Hennepin County 4-H through our club.

Do I need to own a rabbit?

4-H believes that youth learn best by doing through hands on projects. All project interests are welcome in Hennepin Hoppers! Besides rabbits, many of our members are interested in art, sewing, technology, agriculture and several others.

Our club works together to complete club projects together such as a club banner, community pride and more!

While our club focuses on the rabbit project, all of our youth are involved in other areas of 4-H. You do not need to own a rabbit to join our club or be fully involved! If you are interested in showing a rabbit at the county fair, we can help you find a quality rabbit to own or leasing an animal is also an option where you borrow someone’s rabbit!

My daughter Edie has loved rabbits for many years, which finally pushed our family into getting involved in the rabbit project. It turns out rabbits are pretty neat! My background is in social work and I really enjoy supporting the youth in our club to feel empowered and learn how to work together towards common goals. I was not a “4-H kid” and I enjoy helping new families learn about 4-H, how to get connected and feel welcomed.

Currently I do work in philanthropy, hospice and I homeschool my daughter. My hobbies are traveling, quilting and attending dog performance events.
